Beethoven’s “Spring Sonata” is appropriately anticipatory for this time of year.
Did you know that Klee is the German word for clover?

This recording with Arthur Rubinstein and Henryk Szeryng is one of my favorite interpretations. A piece that is so popular and picked up by so many musicians is, in my opinion, particularly difficult precisely because it is so popular.

I am looking forward to comparing Rubinstein’s version of Chopin’s Nocturnes with Thierry de Brunhoff’s. Just need some time for quiet listening. 🙂
