“The paintings of Chu Teh-Chun dated between 2004 and 2006 present images that convey more to the viewer than the artist’s personal preferences or the pursuit of a more dynamic style. Rather, Chu examines each work in the hopes of further developing their uniqueness individually. Through the utmost strikingly abstract landscapes, the viewer is able to distinguish remnants of the best Chinese art by old masters within each canvas. The remarkable eye of Chu Teh-Chun manages to capture the most immeasurable nature of the universe, as well as symbols and signs that reflect a passage of time.
Sotheby’s
With thorough dexterity and precision, Chu’s painting has become an “absolute necessity” in expressing his feelings toward the cosmos. The meticulous arrangement of colour and line within his compositions exceptionally reveal a wholly limitless and timely affection for art.”

Well that is the most joyful version of Auld Lang Syne I have ever heard 🙂 And the painting is simply stunning. I would love to have it gracing my walls. I loved the line “Chu’s painting has become an “absolute necessity” in expressing his feelings toward the cosmos”. I said something very similar, recently, to my husband. I do not really properly express my deepest, most spiritual feelings unless I can write them down. Loved this post! Happy New Year to you and yours…xoxo 🙂💕🙏

This one is beautiful but also strangely haunting. 😳😁

Agree! I have different feeling each time I re-visit this one. I do see the beauty in what appears to be chaos, but I crave order….so “strangely haunting” makes sense to me.
