  1. I love Ray Charles! Once, when I lived in Chicago, I went to a concert that was supposed to feature Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton (in the early 80’s). I only have been to two professional concerts in my life – this one and Elton John. Anyway – Dolly was ill and unable to perform, which was (of course!) disappointing, but understandable. The act that they had fill in for Dolly’s absence was RAY CHARLES! Talk about awesome! He opened the show for Mr. Rodgers with a wonderful set of his classics. Accompanied by the “Ray-etts”. It was to me the most memorable part of the night. What an amazing performer and a thrilling experience. I haven’t thought of that night in years, but I have loved him ever since. Thanks for featuring him. 🙂 Have a lovely day!

  4. I see that Franz Marc died in World War I at the age of only 36 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Marc).

  5. Franz Marc continues to astound. He was such a good painter. And this musical performance! Ecstatic and intricate. What an interesting juxtaposition you have created with this artwork and song. I never would have imagined them together!

  10. I once saw Ray Charles live in person in a small nightclub in a hotel in Mesquite Nevada.

My dad and I were the only patrons in the nightclub at the time so it was like our own personal concert.
