Oh, boy! A world of story in this well named picture… The shoes… the stiff homespun… the features roughened by sun and wind, gaunt from work, and how will we feed the one that’s coming?… Rest for this woman means time to know concern. What a painting!
Yes! My first thought when I saw this painting was “Oh, her back must be aching!” And then the details slowly emerge, as you so eloquently point out, Ana. This painting tells a story – and raises many more good questions about this woman and the life she represents. 🙂🌻🙏
Did not know that painter, beautiful painting, like the texture and the lights, I guess I like everything in it 🙂
