According to Christie’s, in 1928 Reuven Rubin visited Adolph Stone, a Romanian friend who had a country home in Peekskill, New York. Rubin produced this painting of that home.

I like his ‘folksy’ style. The simplicity makes it look a lot easier than I imagine it was to paint. Just lovely.
