I am wondering why Barlow chose to paint the background the way he did.
Are the women in an orchard? In a barn?
This painting is one to view in person, to study the details more closely.

I posted the Ray Charles song you posted yesterday and gave a hot link to your blog. I had to post Ray Charles’ song because it was so dismal with the floods here in New York City. It cheered me up and I played it for my husband and it cheered up other people, too. Thank You!! 💖ellen
That plain background is definitely interesting, because it is so unrealistic… And I wonder what the story is, behind the woman on the right, who looks sad, and is not participating in the work. But the work itself seems unrealistic… so maybe the whole thing is purely symbolic. But I love the leeks!! 😉
lol…I did not notice the leeks until you pointed them out! I will try to find out more about this artist and post more of his paintings in the future. I am intrigued. 🙂🌻
No, Dee, there is a mix up. Please disregard. Something similar happened six months ago. I have no idea why it happened, why it stopped, or why it is happening again. Last time there were accounts with familiar pictures of people I know well with the name ARRAY on it. WordPress gremlins strike again.
