  1. Eric Wayne's avatar Eric Wayne says:

I love Emile Nolde, despite some of the political stuff. When I was 18 years old I looked through the entire Janson’s History of Art book, and the image that most affected me was Nolde’s the Last Supper. He has a unique vision, and is probably my favorite Expressionist, unless we include Max Beckmann. And Nolde’s landscapes and flowers are wonderful and impressionistic.

    1. I love Nolde, too, Eric. I was not familiar with his “Last Supper”, so I googled and it took me to your post: New Art: “The Last Supper” (Tribute to Emil Nolde) at https://artofericwayne.com/2017/11/01/new-art-the-last-supper-tribute-to-emil-nolde/. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 🌻
