Since I’d never heard of Chu Teh-Chun, I looked at the Christie’s article about ‘ten things to know,’ and had to smile. ‘Oriental abstraction’ seemed an oxymoron at first. It is interesting that his calligraphy training influenced his later work.
I have to admit that I did not know him. But sure, we both follow Chinese principles in painting and are rather abstract. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
