  2. Because Renoir’s paintings of women are so sensuous, some of today’s art “critics” have increasingly been removing him from the canon of western art. That came as a shock to me when I learned about it last year. At the same time, so many other things have been getting canceled in the past few years that I can’t say I was surprised.
