  2. I’m wondering what makes this portrait Saint John, as opposed to anyone else.

    1. I needed the title, but I suppose the wilderness and the golden glow over his head were very general clues to a religious theme. Is it Saint John the Apostle or John the Baptist? I wonder if the blue flowers in his right hand have any significance?
