Week 18: She Sees, by Sunnyside

She Sees, by Sunnyside, charcoal on paper, May 4, 2022

First Portrait

In the last few weeks I have drawn an isolated eye, nose, mouth, and ear, but this is my first time trying a whole face. I did not finish, but I am satisfied with my earnest effort and am looking forward to working on a portrait drawing course next.

Thanks for Visiting 🙂

    1. Thank you, Dawn. She emerged with her own personality, even if she does not look much like the model in the photo…lol.

  7. In Barbizon, France, last month, I had the opportunity to work with a sculptor for an afternoon, creating a clay figure. It was my first time trying to create anything other than a bowl in clay, and I was pleased my work at least looked human. While I probably won’t scuplt or work in clay, I was inspired to sew, a creative outlet in my comfort zone. Keep drawing.
